Frequently asked questions
Can tAI send an email for me?
No. Draft tools only ever save a draft. There is no tool that sends a message.
What can tAI actually see in my Gmail account?
Only what a specific request needs: your inbox (messages, threads, labels) and your drafts. There is no standing copy of your inbox.
Does connecting Gmail give tAI access to my Google account in general?
No. Access is limited to Gmail. See Permissions & data access for the full scope.
I have more than one Gmail account. Which one does tAI use?
Whichever account you authorize during Connect. To switch, disconnect and reconnect with the other account.
Are the drafts tAI creates any different from ones I write myself?
No. A saved draft is an ordinary Gmail draft. You can edit it by hand before sending.
What happens if I revoke access from Google's side instead of disconnecting in tAI?
The next Gmail request fails with a clear error. Reconnect from Settings → Connectors to restore access.
Can tAI read emails in a language other than English?
Yes. tAI reads whatever language the message is written in.
Does tAI check my inbox on its own, without me asking?
No. There is no background polling.
Can tAI attach more than one file to a draft?
create_draft_with_attachment attaches one file per call. For more than one, ask across a couple of turns.
Does disconnecting Gmail delete anything?
No. Disconnecting only stops future access. Drafts, messages, and labels are untouched.
