How it works
Permissions & data access
Privacy and data handling
- You authenticate directly with your Notion account. tAI never sees your Notion password.
- Access is limited to the specific pages and databases you have shared with the tAI connection, either during Connect or later from a page's own Connections menu in Notion. Connecting your account does not expose your entire workspace.
- Notion's own search index can surface a page's title even before that page has been fully shared with the connection. Reading or writing its actual content with another tool still requires that specific page to be shared, and fails otherwise. See Troubleshooting.
- tAI only accesses your Notion data when a request in the conversation requires it, and retrieves the minimum needed. There is no standing copy of your workspace and no background sync.
- Access does not expire on a fixed schedule. It stays active until you disconnect it in tAI or revoke it from Notion's own workspace settings.
- Access can be revoked at any time from Settings → Connectors in tAI, or from Notion's own workspace settings. Either one takes effect immediately.
